Worship Matters: Magnifies the Greatness of God

In chapter 8 of the book, Kauflin addresses the greatness of the Lord. He states that as worship leaders, we are to magnify the greatness of the Lord. By being distracted and think about others than God during worship, we would be reducing his greatness. God should not be simply tucked away as a little part of our lives, but should be the biggest and first priority in our lives. As worship leaders, our job is to remind others through worship how great God is and why he is so worthy of worship. Songs that we lead must be specific about God's nature, so that there is no doubt about how God really is. We are to convey who God is, not to distort it or redesign His image.

I can apply this to my life by always remembering how amazing and great God is, and making Him a bigger part of my life. I find that it is really easy to just allot time to God like other mundane tasks of the day, but God is much greater than that. I will try my best to keep showing God's greatness through not only worship, but through my whole life in general.
